When i was in Boots the other day with my best friend Alex, there was a 3for2 on Rimmel products, in my last post i mentioned i bought the Rimmel Apocalips in 101 Celestial (post here) because of the 3for2, i picked up another of the apocalips for my upcoming giveaway (It will be here, soon!) and i also picked up the 5 in 1 Nail Treat Base and Top Coat Total Care Action, which was essentially free but typically retails for £4.59.
This product claims to get your nails smoother, stronger, longer, more moisturised and more shiny. Sounds perfect and just what my nails need right now. I normally skip the whole base and top coat part of paininting my nails, but i really think i should start being nicer to my nails! I love Rimmel nail polishes, so i was expecting good things from this product!
I've used this the last 4 or 5 times i've painted my nails and i love it! It dried quickly, and provided a lovely base for applying my colour and i found the colour on top dried quicker and smoother as well as only needing 2 coats instead of the usual 3. I found it prevented the colour from staining my nails and when it was used as the topcoat it left my nails glossy, shiny and in good condition. The brush however wasn't the usual shorter brush i love, but i didn't have any problems with it, however i would have preferred the typical Rimmel polish brush!
Overall this has been a great addition to my nail polish collection and nail care routine. I was tempted by OPI's Nail Envy but it is so so pricey!
