L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes in Extra-Black

I know there is a lot of hype surrounding the L'Oreal Telescopic mascara, but in my opinion L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes in Extra-Black is over-looked. It is hands down my favourite mascara. Yes i loved my Benefit They're Real! But no matter what, i always come back to my first love. It retails for £10.99, which is around the more pricey end of high-street mascaras. But worth every penny. Previously i had never noticed the extra-black version so just opted for the normal black version, but this time i decided to try the extra-black and i am very impressed!

'The Millionizer brush has a multitude of bristles to separate lashes for a fanned-out lash effect. The elastomer applicator is ultra flexible with both long and short bristles to coat each lash evenly from root to tip'.

I love the wand, a perfect plastic brush with  lots of narrow rows around the brush consisting of fine bristles/spikes. I love the bit at the end of the wand, that has no bristles, but can still be used to coat those hard to reach inner and outer corner lashes! The formula is rather wet, but i like this in a mascara, and it does not clump easily and dries very quickly without transferring to the eyelid etc. This also allows some time to work with the lashes and to manipulate to how you want them. I also find this waterproof enough that no smudging/flaking occurs, yet it removes easily without having to scrub.
I love the sleek, classy black and gold tube and i find it feels very elegant and expensive. There is a wiper built into the neck of the tube to take away any excess product from the brush, to ensure perfect application. I find this works very well.

When i was getting my last pair of glasses fitted the lady adjusting them, commented on my lashes asking if they were real, as did my Grandma just a few days ago. One of the reasons i adore this mascara. With one swipe, you have perfect lashes that can be passed off as beautifully natural, but a few more coats and you have long, voluminous, extra-black, perfectly defined lashes.
This mascara now comes in many forms, including versions for specific coloured eyes, waterproof, ordinary black, brown and the new excess version (not sure what this really is!). Currently on a buy one get the second half price deal in Superdrug or two for £15 on selected L'Oreal cosmetics in Boots.

I can't rave about this product enough and i give it 5+ Sophiehearts!

Have you tried this mascara, are any other L'Oreal mascara's good?

  4. Uh, this mascara looks / sounds great. I personally prefer wands like this because the others always look like they're predestined for clumping.
    Very lovely review. :)

  9. I have loved this mascara for so long. It is amazing, I do find that it smudges a bit and can be a bit divaish but the results are so worth it. Gives me my best lashes every time.

  13. I love L'Oreal Mascaras, this one is one of my favourites, they are bit pricier than other drugstore mascaras but they're worth it (excuse the pun!)
